Trid GPS?

Minn Patri Mario Attard OFMcap

Jiena isuquni u mhux insuq! Karozza m’għandix. Patri jien. Imma l-Mulej, fil-ħniena kbira tiegħu, dejjem ipprovhieli dak il-lift.

Naħseb li kieku kelli ngħodd il-karozzi li rkibt fihom s’issa żgur li ma ngħoddhomx. Kemm irkibt f’karozzi. Darba minnhom irkibt f’karozza li kellha l-isticker mal-windscreen: I love sex. Taf li hi kienet l-unika karozza li waqqfittli meta kont sejjer għand is-sorijiet tal-Monasteru! Imbagħad karozza li kellha fuqha l-isticker I love Jesus u oħra warajha li l-isticker tagħha kienet Jesus loves me komplew jagħfsu l-gass! U ħasluni wkoll tafux! Eħ Patri kemm fil-ħajja ma trid tiġġudika lil ħadd! Għax il-Mulej malajr iwaqqgħek offside!

Ħaġa sabiħa li ninota f’għadd mhux ħażin ta’ karozzi li rkibt fihom hija l-magħrufa GPS. Jew, kif isibuha b’mod tekniku, Global Positioning System. L-isem sabiħ hux! Modern. Il-GPS hija sistema tan-navigazzjoni li titħaddem minn satellita u li hi magħmula minn network ta’ mhux anqas minn 24 jew daqs 30 satellita li huma mpoġġija fl-orbita mid-Dipartiment Amerikan tad-Difiża. L-għan primarju tal-GPS kien dak għall-azzjoni militari. Madankollu fis-snin 80 il-gvern Amerikan kien iddeċieda li jħalli l-programm tal-GPS biex jintuża min-nies ċivili. L-informazzjoni tas-satellita hija mingħajr ħlas u taħdem f’kull post fid-dinja.

Id-device tal-GPS għandu għadd ta’ kapaċitajiet. L-ewwel nett, li juri mapep, inklużi ta’ toroq, murija b’mod li bniedem jista’ jaqrahom permezz tat-text jew format grafiku. Il-GPS jagħti direzzjonijiet tan-navigazzjoni kantuniera b’kantuniera lix-xuffier li jkun qed isuq permezz ta’ text jew bid-diskors. It-tielet nett, il-GPS jagħti saħansitra direzzjoni lill-vettura li tkun qed tinstaq b’mod awtomatiku bħal dawk li jissejħu robotic probe. Il-GPS tagħti mapep li juru konġestjoni tat-traffiku filwaqt li tissuġġerixxi direzzjonijiet alternattivi. Fl-aħħar nett id-device tal-GPS jagħti wkoll informazzjoni dwar faċilitajiet fl-inħawi bħal restoranti, stazzjonijiet tal-fuel u attrazzjonijiet turistiċi.

Mela, biex niġbor dan kollu, id-device tal-GPS jista’ wkoll jindika t-toroq possibbli. Juri l-konġestjoni tat-traffiku u rotot alternattivi. Jagħti wkoll toroq li jistgħu jintagħżlu biex wieħed jasal għad-destinazzjoni mixtieqa. Jekk xi toroq huma iffullati l-GPS jagħtik l-aħjar rotta li għandek tieħu biex tasal fejn tkun ippjanajt li għandek tasal. Il-GPS jaħsiblek għal żaqqek ukoll l-għaliex jurik minfejn tista’ tixtri l-ikel. Inkella fejn tista’ tuża l-banek, hotels, fuel, ajruporti u postijiet oħra ta’ interess. Il-GPS jgħinek tagħżel l-iqsar rotta minn żewġ lokazzjonijiet. U, kif ukoll, jagħtik għażliet differenti biex issuq fuq il-highway jew toroq oħra bħal side streets.

Kemm barkiet fih ħej dan l-imbierek tal-GPS. Imma int u jien, anki jekk ma nsuqux, ukoll għandna aċċess għall-GPS. U l-GPS tagħna hija l-Kelma ta’ Alla! Il-Bibbja! U għaliex dan? L-għaliex il-Bibbja turina liema triq għandna niġbdu fil-ħajja meta, kif tgħidilna t-Tieni Ittra ta’ San Pawl lil Timotju, “l-Iskrittura kollha hija mnebbħa minn Alla, u tiswa biex wieħed jgħallem, iċanfar, iwiddeb u jrawwem fis-sewwa, biex hekk il-bniedem ta’ Alla jkun perfett, mħejji għal kull ħidma tajba” (2Tim:3:16-17). Il-Bibbja hija GPS meta iddawwal il-mixja tagħna. Kif jgħid Salm 119: “Fanal għal riġlejja l-kelma tiegħek, u dawl fil-mogħdija tiegħi” (Salm 119:105). Il-Bibbja hija GPS meta toqrosni fil-laħam il-ħajja ħalli nqum mir-raqda tal-indifferenza, inxammar idejja, u nibda’ ngħixha. Hekk tħeġġiġni l-Ittra ta’ San Ġakbu: “Kunu intom dawk li jagħmlu l-kelma, u mhux tisimgħuha biss u hekk tqarrqu bikom infuskom” (Ġak 1:22).

Il-Bibbja hija GPS meta turini li fost l-imħabbiet li għandi f’ħajti imħabbet il-Mulej biss tibqa’ għal dejjem. Bħalma jgħid il-Profeta Iżaija: “Il-ħaxix jinxef, u l-ward jidbiel, iżda l-kelma tal-Mulej tibqa’ għal dejjem” (Iża 40:8). Il-Bibbja hija GPS għalija meta, quddiem l-imħabba tal-Mulej Ġesù għalija sal-punt li twieled, bata, miet u qam minn bejn l-imwiet minħabba fija, hija niddeċiedi li ninqala’ mill-ħażen u ngħix għalih bis-saħħa ta’ kelmtu.

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
